Essie Birthday Manicure

Hello Everyone :)
Today I have a special post/manicure - I've got a birthday manicure for my mom :) Today was her birthday so I decided to a little something special for her.

For the following manicure I used China Glaze as my basecoat along with Wet n Wild French White as the base color. I then used the opposite end of my clean-up brush to place the dots of my color on my nails. I started with the darkest color - Essie No More Film, then the next color was Essie Avenue Maintain, then Essie Hip-Anema and last I used Essie Tart Deco. I finished the manicure with Seche Vite Top Coat.

I really ended up being pleased with this manicure and it is really different than things I normally do.

My inspiration for this manicure was those little candy dot sprinkles that you can put on cupcakes and stuff... hahaha you know the ones I'm talking about?

Anyway here is a couple of pics of my manicure as well as a pic of my beautiful mama!! :)

Enjoy!!

China Glaze Re-Fresh Mint - The Long Lost Manicure

Hello Everyone :)
Hope you all had a great weekend! My weekend was great :) Never long enough, but what can you do haha

So this weekend I was cleaning off one of my camera cards and I came across a manicure that I did for Christmas and never posted haha! I figured what the hell.. better late than never right? So below are pics of one of my Christmas manicures...but the fact that it is a great spring color it kind of fits right?

For the base I used China Glaze Re-Fresh Mint and for the accent "peppermint" nail I used Wet N' Wild French White. Obviously the name of the polish was part of the inspiration for the accent nail :)

Enjoy!

Easter Manicure!

Hey Everyone! So I am little late with my Happy Easter blogpost - but I'm gonna say it anyway... HAPPY EASTER! LOL I hope everyone had a great holiday :) I just spent time with my family and had way too much food and WAY too much candy! At the end of this post I will show you a special little treat that I made for our Easter celebration :) If you follow me on Instagram, you already know what it is, but if not.. then you will get to enjoy it as well!

For last year's Easter Manicure I did a bunny peep on my accent finger - which can be seen here. So I wanted to make sure and do something different this year. With as many nail blogs as I follow and nail boards I follow on Pinterest I wanted to make sure and come up with something unique. Or at a manicure that I've not seen a lot of. So I decided to make my nails look like those speckled malt ball eggs that are everywhere in the grocery store around this time of year.

So for my manicure I used OPI Nail Envy and China Glaze Strong Adhesion as my base coats, I then applied two coats of China Glaze Something Sweet on my thumb and pinky, two coats of China Glaze Lemon Fizz on my index and ring finger and then two coats of Essie Bikini So Teeny on my middle finger. Once everything was dry I then mixed a couple of drops of Revlon Hot for Chocolate and some fingernail polish remover together. I used the remover to thin out the polish some so it would be easier to splatter the polish on my nails. I just used an old toothbrush to create the splatter design.

Now... on to the pics!! Enjoy! :)

Sorry for the annoying watermarks all over my pics too... I recently found some websites using my pics with out my permission... so I am currently in the process of "re-watermarking" all my pics for that reason...super frustrating!!!!

Totally forgot my Easter treat pic!! LOL

Here is is... I had to grab it off of my Instagram feed, but you get the idea :) I actually got this idea off of Lauren Conrad's website - here

Essie - Avenue Maintain - Spring Collection 2013

Hello Everyone :)
Today's manicure is of one of my new favorite colors - it's called Avenue Maintain and it's from Essie's Spring 2013 Collection. This is such a beautiful blue color and I think it's a great Winter to Spring transition. Here in Indiana we just can't seem to shake the winter season off - Saturday was nice and sunny - no jacket required and yesterday it snowed! I am so ready for spring I just can't stand it! Hope the weather is cooperating for you all and if you've got some sunshine, send it our way :)

Now on to the pics! I used OPI Nail Envy and China Glaze Strong Adhesion as my base coats, I then applied two coats of Avenue Maintain and topped it off with Seche Vite top coat.

Let me know what you think! Do you have any of the other colors from this collection? I've also got Maximillian Strasse-Her which is a really cool grey/green that I am dying to try!

Also don't forget to start following Pass the Polish Please on bloglovin... if you've not heard yet, Google is going to be getting rid of Google Reader soon and you won't be able to see new posts - so click on the link to the right so you won't miss anything :)

Have a good Monday!!

Anybody there?

Hey everyone! Sorry for the lack in posts! Technical difficulties!!!
I'm back and ready to start posting again :)
If you follow me on Instagram you have been at least seeing "some" nail activity from me lol as well as on Pinterest - I try and at least post my "nail art" manicures on there. But anyway! I am hoping that everything keeps going well and I can get back to blogging.
I also wanted to share that I've added a new blog to my line-up here on PTPP! - if you look in my pages bar there is a new page titled
Britton Berry - this is my new Fashion/Lifestyle blog where I will be posting things about my everyday life - just not nails... I will keep these two blogs linked pretty closely, but separate enough you don't have to read about clothes if you are only interested in nails and vice versa! I hope you all enjoy seeing more of my life and style :) Go check it out and let me know what you think!!

I also wanted to mention that Google has gotten rid of Google Friend Connect so I wasn't able to put a Follow Me gadget on my new blog - so make sure you Follow By Email on Britton Berry so you don't miss any new posts :)

Talk to you soon!!
