Revlon Emerald City - Elf Movie Nail Art

Hey Everyone! Today I have another Christmas themed manicure. This is based off the photo below that someone had posted on my Facebook wall last week. They asked me to recreate it - so I figured I would give it a try :) After doing some research on the internet - I believe I found the correct source/credit of the photo - if anyone knows for sure and I am wrong - please let me know. I am not by any means trying to pass this off as my own original idea. I believe the artist/owner is *lovesac from the website Deviant Art.

For my version of this manicure I started out with OPI Nail Envy as my basecoat, then used 2 coats of Revlon Emerald City for my index, middle and pinky fingers and used Wet N Wild French White on my ring finger and thumb. For the nail art and text I used my Miji Nail Art pens. For the buckle on his coat I used a toothpick and Orly Tiara. I then used Essie Good To Go as my top coat on everything.

Let me know what you think!! Any requests/suggestions for more Christmas nail art? Just let me know :)

On to the pics! Enjoy♥

China Glaze - Heli-Yum - Christmas Manicure

Hey Everyone!
Today I have a semi-Christmas themed manicure - even though this really could be worn at anytime. I used China Glaze - Heli-Yum for the base coat from the Up and Away Collection and I used Glamorous from the Wet n Wild Fergie collection for my accent nail. Heli-Yum is more "red" than I thought it would be - but it's a very pretty color either way. The accent nail was very easy to do, as I just dipped out some of the glitter polish into a little plastic container and used a toothpick to grab the single pieces of glitter. I used Essie All In One Base as my base coat and Essie Good To Go as my top coat.

On to the pics!! Enjoy♥

Revlon Coastal Surf - Happy Birthday James!

Hello Everyone! Today I have a special manicure that I am dedicating to my little nephew James! He turns 2 years old today! I can't believe it :) He loves Sponge Bob and he especially loves Gary! LOL So I created a little Gary on my nails for him. It turned out okay - haha I haven't done actual nail art like this in a while, so I felt a little rusty - but I think you can get the gist of it. I used my newest polish purchase - Revlon Coastal Surf from their new ColorStay Longwear collection - I LOVE THIS COLOR! It's such a pretty bright color and goes on great. The only complaint I had with it was the brush had a couple out of whack bristles - but I fixed that with no problem. I always forget to open the bottle and check the brush when I am in the store - but yet I always have a habit of grabbing the second bottle in line - as in I never pick the one in front. haha I am not sure why I do this either - I guess I am weird like that - Does anyone else do that? Anyway - for the accent nails I used my Migi Nail Art pens and for the base color I used my trusty old Wet and Wild - French White and went over that with my China Glaze Lemon Fizz from their Up and Away collection. I used Essie's Good To Go as my top coat.

Now on to the pictures - which includes a rare glimpse at my right hand hahaha! Also a couple of the pictures have some different lighting - I'm trying to find the best spot in my house to photograph in - so far I think is the kitchen, which is where all the pics but the top two were taken. Let me know what you think! Enjoy♥

Rare look at my right hand :)

I feel like I do a better job on painting my right hand sometimes lol
